Terms of Use
The agreement between you and Sweeply when you use this website or book a clean.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
These Terms of Use (“terms”) govern your use of sweeply.ca (the “site”) and every service you book from Sweeply Cleaning Ltd. (“Sweeply”, “we”, “us”) — through the site, by phone or by email. By using the site or making a booking you accept them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or book with us. Our privacy policy and cancellation and refund policy form part of these terms.
Part A — Using the website
1. Who may use the site
- You must be at least 18, or using the site with a parent or guardian, to book or to send us a form.
- You may only book a clean for a property you own, rent or are otherwise authorised to have cleaned, and you must have the right to give us the entry information you provide.
- Everything you tell us must be accurate. We price and plan the visit on it.
2. This site was built with AI, and AI makes mistakes
We want to be straight with you: this website was “vibe coded” — designed, written and programmed with the help of artificial-intelligence tools, with people reviewing and correcting the result rather than writing every line by hand. AI tools can and do make mistakes, and some of those mistakes may be on this site. So:
- Any text, price, estimate, date, availability, service description, blog article, chat-assistant answer or other information on the site may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. We do not promise that it is correct.
- The site, the booking form and the chat assistant may contain bugs or behave in ways we did not intend. If something looks wrong — a price that seems off, a total that does not add up, a page that misbehaves — please stop and call us rather than relying on it.
- Nothing on the site is advice, and nothing on it is an offer that binds us until we confirm a booking (section 11). Where a mistake on the site has put the wrong price, date, scope or availability into a booking, we may correct it with your agreement, or cancel the booking and refund it in full, and that is the full extent of our responsibility for the mistake.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from relying on information produced for, or shown on, this site. Section 23 sets out the limits on our liability in full.
Spotted a mistake? Email clean@sweeply.ca. We fix them as they are found.
3. Prices, estimates and availability
- A price shown on the site before you book is an estimate built from what you have told us. The price that applies is the one on your booking confirmation, and section 13 explains what happens if the property turns out to be different.
- Prices are in Canadian dollars and are shown with applicable taxes and any travel fee itemised before you pay.
- A date or arrival window is not reserved until your booking is confirmed. We may decline or cancel a booking we cannot staff, in which case anything you paid is refunded in full.
- We may correct an obvious pricing or typographical error, including after a booking is made, by offering you the corrected price or a full refund.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- make a booking, booking request, quote request or job application you do not intend to follow through on, or in someone else’s name without their permission;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means to read, copy, submit to or probe the site, or to attempt to bypass its security, rate limits or payment process;
- upload or transmit anything unlawful, abusive, infringing or malicious, or interfere with the site, our systems or other visitors;
- copy, resell or commercially exploit any part of the site or our content.
We may block, suspend or refuse service to anyone who breaks these rules.
5. Our content
The Sweeply name and logo, and the text, images, design and code of the site, belong to us or to our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use and nothing more. Blog articles and checklists are general information about cleaning and home care, not professional advice, and we are not responsible for what happens if you follow them.
6. Similarity to other websites
Because this site was written and built with AI tools (section 2), its wording, layout, design or images may resemble other cleaning companies’ websites or other material those tools learned from. Any such resemblance is coincidental and unintentional. We have not knowingly copied anyone’s work, we claim no connection with or endorsement by any other business, and a resemblance is not evidence of either.
- If you believe something on this site reproduces your copyrighted work, trademark or other protected material, email clean@sweeply.ca with a link to the page, a link to or copy of your original, and a way to reach you. We will review it in good faith and, where the complaint is well founded, change or remove the material promptly. We ask that you use this route before taking any other step; it will almost always be faster.
- Content supplied to us by others — blog articles, customer reviews, photographs — is published in good faith on the basis that whoever supplied it had the right to. Tell us if that is not so and we will take it down.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from a resemblance between this site and any other, and the notice process above is the remedy for any such resemblance you object to.
7. Third-party services and links
Payments are taken by Stripe, maps, analytics and advertising are provided by Google, Meta and other platforms, and reviews are collected on Google and Trustpilot. Those services run under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control. The site may link to other websites for convenience; a link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what those sites do.
8. Emails, texts and calls
- When you book or send us a form, we will email, text or call you about it — confirmations, arrival texts, changes, invoices and questions about the job. These are part of the service, not marketing.
- We send marketing email and texts only with your consent, and every message carries a way to stop them: an unsubscribe link in email, or replying STOP to a text. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
- Our privacy policy explains how we advertise and what we track.
9. Promo codes and offers
- A promo code applies to one booking, cannot be combined with another code, and is subject to any minimum order, expiry date or use limit shown with it. Recurring-plan discounts apply for as long as the plan continues.
- A code has no cash value, cannot be applied after a booking is made, and is removed from the refund if the booking is cancelled.
- We may withdraw or change an offer at any time, and may refuse or reverse a discount that was obtained by error, by sharing a personal code, or by abuse.
10. Reviews and what you send us
We may invite you to review us on Google, Trustpilot or similar platforms after a visit. A review must be your honest opinion of a clean you actually had. If you send us feedback, a testimonial or a photograph, you let us use it — with your first name and city at most, unless you agree to more — on the site and in our advertising, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by emailing us.
Part B — Booking a clean
11. Booking and payment
- The price shown at checkout is the full price for the service described. It includes applicable taxes and any travel fee, all itemised before you pay.
- Payment is taken in full at the time of booking, by card, through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- A booking is confirmed — and a contract made — when payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation email with a reference number. Until then there is no booking.
- Where we take a booking as a request rather than a paid booking, nothing is owed and no date is held until we confirm it by email and agree with you how payment will be taken.
12. Recurring bookings
- When you choose a recurring frequency, every visit is discounted and each visit is charged one at a time, on the day — never the whole schedule up front. You receive a confirmation and invoice by email for each visit.
- You can skip, move or cancel any visit, and end the schedule entirely, at any time by calling us or replying to any of our emails. Nothing is charged for a skipped visit, and there is no fee for ending the schedule. A visit that is already booked and paid follows the cancellation policy.
- Each visit is charged at the price shown when the schedule was set up, plus the recurring discount for your frequency. If the price of a visit is to change, we will email you before that visit is charged, and you can end the schedule before it is.
- We may pause or end a recurring schedule ourselves, with notice, if we can no longer staff it.
13. Changes to the job
We price on what you tell us. If the property is materially different from what was booked — more rooms, a substantially larger area, or a level of soiling that requires a deep clean rather than a standard one — our team will contact you before starting. You can approve the revised price, reduce the scope to fit the time booked, or cancel on the spot for a full refund.
14. Bookings by the hour
A booking by the hour buys our team’s time, not a fixed list of tasks. They work through what you ask for in the order you give it and stop when the booked time is up. If more time is needed to finish, we will offer it to you at the hourly rate before carrying on — by email before the visit where we can see it coming, or on the day — and anything not covered is left for a later visit. A minimum number of cleaner-hours applies to every hourly booking and is shown before you pay.
15. Access
- You are responsible for giving us accurate entry instructions and for ensuring we can get in during your arrival window.
- Entry information is encrypted and shared only with the cleaners assigned to your booking.
- If we cannot access the property, our cancellation policy applies.
16. Arrival windows
Bookings are made against a one-hour arrival window, not a fixed start time. Traffic and the job before yours can move it; if we expect to fall outside the window we will contact you.
17. What we do not do
- Move furniture or appliances heavier than roughly 15 kg.
- Work at height beyond a two-step stool.
- Handle biohazards, mould remediation, pest infestations, or human or animal waste beyond routine bathroom and litter-tray cleaning.
- Clean exterior windows above ground level.
18. Your belongings
We are insured and bonded. If we damage something, tell us within 48 hours with photographs and we will repair it, replace it, or compensate you for it. Please put away anything genuinely irreplaceable or of unusual value before we arrive — we would rather not be near it at all. We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing wear, faulty fixtures, or surfaces and materials that cannot withstand normal cleaning, where we could not reasonably have known.
19. Our guarantee
If you are not satisfied, tell us within 24 hours of the visit and we will return and re-clean the areas concerned at no charge. If you are still not satisfied after that visit, we refund the visit.
20. Cancellation
Set out in full in our cancellation and refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
21. A safe place to work
- Please keep pets secured and let us know about anything in the property that could put our team at risk.
- Our cleaners may stop and leave a job where they are harassed, threatened or unsafe. That visit is treated as a same-day cancellation under the cancellation policy, and we may decline future bookings.
- Please do not hire our cleaners directly for two years after their last visit to you. We invest heavily in recruiting, checking and training them, and direct hiring leaves you without the insurance, bonding and guarantee that come with booking through us.
Part C — The legal part
22. The site is provided as is
The site, its content and the chat assistant are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or free of viruses, or that any information on it is accurate or complete — see section 2. To the extent the law allows, we exclude every warranty, condition and representation about the site that is not set out in these terms.
23. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in them takes away a right you have under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act of British Columbia or any other law that cannot be contracted out of. Subject to that:
- our total liability in connection with any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it, except in respect of property damage covered by our insurance (section 18);
- our total liability in connection with your use of the site, where you have not paid for a booking, is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, income or data, or loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.
You agree to compensate us for loss we suffer because of your breach of section 4 or because you gave us information you were not entitled to give.
24. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
25. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows when we last did. The version that applies to a booking is the one published when you made it. The version that applies to your use of the site is the one published at the time of your visit.
