Who we're looking for

Our ideal cleaning teammate

Experience helps, but it isn't everything — we run paid training. These are the things we do need.

  1. 1 Careful and thorough You take pride in a finished room — corners, baseboards, the details people notice.
  2. 2 Reliable and punctual Recurring clients book the same window every visit. Showing up, on time, every time, is the job.
  3. 3 Comfortable in English Enough to follow a written checklist and have a friendly word with a client.
  4. 4 Background-check ready Every cleaner is reference- and background-checked before their first shift — clients let us into their homes.
  5. 5 Legally authorized You’re legally authorized to work in Canada.
  6. 6 Mobile A reliable car is a real asset for routes; strong transit access can work for central areas.

From the team

Hear from our cleaners

“The routing is the thing nobody advertises. My three Tuesday homes are within ten minutes of each other, so I clean three and I’m home by four.”
Cleaning teammate · Burnaby
“I started with zero professional experience. The paid training meant my first solo clean wasn’t terrifying — and the same clients every two weeks means they know me now.”

Common questions

Questions cleaners ask before applying

Still stuck on something? Call us — a real person picks up during business hours.

How much do Sweeply cleaners earn?
Our pay range is $25–$35/hr depending on role and experience, plus 100% of your tips — tips are never pooled or withheld. Pay lands weekly by direct deposit.
Is this full-time or part-time?
Both. Tell us your availability in the application — some of the team work two days a week around family or studies, others build a full week. You choose your days, and your schedule only grows when you say so.
Do I need experience?
It helps, but it is not required. Every new cleaner gets paid training and a written checklist on every job, and your first cleans are alongside an experienced teammate.
Do I need to bring my own supplies?
No — products, cloths and equipment are provided. You never buy your own.
Do I need a car?
A reliable car is a big asset and opens up more routes. For central, transit-friendly areas we can sometimes make it work without one — apply and tell us how you get around.
What areas can I work in?
You pick the parts of Metro Vancouver you want to work in and we group your jobs there. Nobody is sent from White Rock to the North Shore in one day.
What happens after I apply?
A short phone chat, then references and a standard background check, then paid training and your first booking. Most people go from application to first paid shift inside two weeks.
